Consists of a buff leather belt to which are sewn two chapes, each holding a rectangular brass loop. The chape nearest the belt buckle is sewn at an angle away from the belt buckle. A single sliding loop is wedged around two of the belt buckle hooks. Dimensions are for the belt exclusive of buckle, chapes, and scabbard slings. Weight is for all combined. A slightly curved rectangular piece of sheet brass to which three hooks have been soldered on back. No markings, many scratches. B: 14 7/8" x 3/4" strap of buff leather, one of which is sewn around a center bar brass buckle. A single hole for the tongue is in the middle, with a second hole (torn) near the opposite end. Remains of a fixed loop near buckle. C: scabbard sling 32 1/2" x 7/8" with two sliding loops, one fixed loop, and a rectangular center bar buckle. Has two holes for buckle tongue. All leather items have been oil damaged, the belt itself to a greater degree. Leather is discolored and leather of belt is very stiff.
