A pine case with dovetailed ends, metal side handles and hinged lid with lock plate on front. The entire case exterior is stained except for the bottom. The metal side handles are bent rods which pass through the sides and through a metal plate on the case interior. A lock plate is fit into notched out front, top center lip. It has a brass face plate. The lid is hinged to the box with two (1.25 in) metal hinges and four small screws. The lid has a small yellow cord/thread and two thumbtacks keeping the lip from completely opening and resting on back side of case.
